Applying For Wireless Network Access (For Mac users)

 

For Loyola Schools Students (NOTE: registration and confirmation must be done on campus)

  1. Determine your unique AirPort ID number, which is a twelve character string composed of the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F:

  • Click on the Apple Menu on the top of your screen.

  • Click System Preferences. The System Preferences window opens. If the above procedure does not apply to your mobile computing device, please consult your operating system's manual.

  • Under Internet & Network, click the Network icon. The Network window opens.

  • Click the AirPort tab.

  • Take note of the twelve character string beside AirPort ID:. This is your unique AirPort ID.

  1. From a web browser in an open access lab computer on campus, open the following web page: https://cng-db.ateneo.net/wireless/index.html

  2. Enter the required information.
    NOTE: Only currently enrolled students will be allowed to register. Only one wireless LAN card per user is allowed.

  3. Upon successful registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to confirm your registration and activate access for your registered wireless LAN card.
    NOTE: You need to confirm your registration within three days of receiving the instructions by email.

  5. You will be able to access the wireless network only by using your registered wireless LAN card. If you replace your LAN card for some reason, please proceed to the CNG office at Faber 311 and bring a valid ID and the MAC address of your new wireless LAN card.
